Camperdown, Western Victoria...

Camperdown is a rural township about 120km south west of Ballarat. It sits at the foot of a volcanic complex that includes Mount Leura.

We spent a very pleasant couple of hours there today. Temperature in the mid 20s (degrees centigrade) and included a picnic lunch at the summit of Mount Leura, as well as a gentle stroll through the town. Some very nice architecture, including the old Camperdown Picture Theatre.

After lunch, a side trip to Lake Bullen Merri, three combined crater lakes that is stocked with Brown Trout and both Atlantic and Chinook Salmon, and then across to Terang (for a coffee), then through Noorat with a couple of scoria quarries, and home.
